A Men’s Retreat for Liberating your Sexuality & Spirituality

Sunday, 1/11/09, 2-5 pm

Men from diverse backgrounds and orientations will explore our relationship to our authentic sexuality: our fears, our desires, our questions, and our expressions. Through guided, safe experiences, you’ll discover how to create the essential shift from fear, shame, and distraction to embodied presence, passion, and play.

With the support of other men who are committed to honesty and compassion, you’ll practice being fully present to your sexual energy as it changes and as it is.  While we won’t be taking off our clothes or touching one another or pursuing erotic desires during the retreat, we will be gently expanding your awareness and acceptance of your full, authentic sexuality.

Goals:
- Expand awareness around your sexuality, eroticism, and desire
- Connect with other men, and learn about how other men of diverse backgrounds & orientations relate to sexuality
- Integrate and align your sexuality and spirituality
- Transform fear into openness
- Learn practices to embody and integrate your sexual presence

Activities:
- Movement, breathwork, discussion, embodiment practices

Facilitator Experience:
David is a Certified Sexological Bodyworker (trained at the Institute for the Advanced Study of Human Sexuality in San Francisco), and has facilitated men in exploring the connections between sexuality, passion, and spirituality through ritual, movement, workshops, and one-on-one coaching for the past six years.  His work is heavily influenced by his long-time study & practice of Vipassana meditation, Co-counseling, Naka-Ima, ecstatic dance, & sacred sexuality.  He is a former facilitator of Naka-Ima and the Heart of Now, two powerful forms of mindfulness through relationship.

DONATION:  $15-40 sliding scale benefits Manifest, a non-profit men’s wellness community.  No one turned away for lack of funds; work-study available if you call 503-223-8822 in advance to schedule your work-study hours.
