ECO-HIKE: Salmon Butte (Cancelled)

Moderate hike to spectacular views of Mt. Hood & 4 other major peaks

SALMON BUTTE –
Sat, 8/22, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm

THIS HIKE IS CANCELLED due to injury of the trip facilitator.  We hope to schedule another Eco-Hike soon!

This is one of my favorite hikes in the Mt. Hood area!  The hike travels through beautiful woods, with a number of switchbacks, to an abandoned fire tower summit with unbelievable views of the Cascades. On a clear day, the peaks of five mountains can be seen. Bring your binoculars! Party limit of ten. Distance: 9 miles roundtrip.  Elevation Gain:  moderate 2800 feet

MEET FOR CARPOOL:  8:30 AM at Tri-Met Gateway Park N Ride Parking Building, NE Multnomah & NE 99th Ave, on sidewalk facing medical building.
