Register to learn this week’s location or information about carpooling.) 11/5: Home-fermentation (Kombucha, KimChee, & Fermented Breakfast Cereal) Register to learn location of this week’s Garden Team meeting: LEARN TOGETHER: Learn the basics of sustainable gardening by working on one another’s gardens every Sunday afternoon—facilitated by visiting master gardeners and our growing collective intuition. Our team also learns by visiting community gardens, local nurseries, farms and volunteering for Growing Gardens, a non-profit that helps low-income families learn to garden. The Gardening & Food Sustainability Group meets on first and third Saturdays of each month through October. The location varies; attendees are encouraged to host at their gardens to take advantage of the collective manpower. CO-FACILITATORS: Aaron Andrade & Johnny Burger have been gardening in Portland for many years, studying permaculture and organic gardening with many of Portland’s most respected gardeners & urban farmers. * DONATIONS and MEMBERSHIP DUES benefit Manifest, a non-profit men’s wellness community empowering diverse men in the Portland area to pursue their wellness visions & passions with one another in more than 60 events monthly.
