7/21 Demonstration and practice integrating physical, energetic, and intuitive techniques in massage.

FACILITATOR:  Oregon Licensed Massage Therapist Christopher Sage, OR LMT#15855.

Share your favorite healing touch techniques for relieving stress with other men, and learn from one another by giving & receiving simple, practical techniques in a warm, safe, comfortable atmosphere.  Massage mats, warm oil, gentle music, and experienced facilitation provided.  This exchange will have a healing, nurturing, non-erotic intention.  To remind us of this, we’ll keep at least our underwear on during massage and you can be draped as little or as much as is comfortable for you. 

GOALS OF THE MEN’S HEALING TOUCH EXCHANGE

In in each healing touch exchange you will explore with other men:

  * TOUCH: A variety of nurturing & healing touch techniques, like Swedish, Esalen, Breema, Healing Touch, Zen Shiatsu, mindful hugging, etc.
  * PRESENCE: Practices for getting in touch with your feelings & needs, & staying in touch with these as you work with others;
  * COMMUNICATION: Ways to perceive the feelings & needs of another & negotiate giving and receiving fulfilling nurturing & healing touch.

DIVERSITY: We are strengthened by adult men of all ages, sizes, shapes, colors, orientations, experience levels, and backgrounds (including trans guys). CONTRIBUTING:  No one is ever turned away for lack of funds, and we request you contribute in one of the following ways:

* $20-$40 Regular Sliding Scale Donation (anything you give above $20 can be a tax deductible donation to help men who lack funds to be able to participate); you can either donate online or at the event, but please register in advance online (see link below) even if you’re donating at the event.

* Become a Manifest Member and you can attend this event FREE as part of your membership join online

* $10-$15 Special Sliding Scale for Men on Fixed Incomes (e.g., students, seniors, those on disability)

* Work Study – you can volunteer time; please call 503-223-8822 x2 BEFORE the event to schedule your work study hours.
