May Spirit guide us . . .

“Thanks to Manifest I have a home, a place to practice & teach yoga, and a place to dance. I appreciate being part of a community where we respect one another’s space and nurture one another to grow.”

HEALING TOUCH EXCHANGE (Manifest NE Studio)

Healing Touch Exchange, (3rd Tuesday) 7-10 pm

Upcoming Men’s Healing Touch Exchange Facilitators & Topics:

* 6/17 Mike Borgstrom, LMT, Introduction to Sports Massage Techniques

* 7/15 Hayden Buell, LMT, Touch Communication:  Listening & Expressing with your Whole Body

* 8/19 Chris Boothby, LMT, Introduction to Hakomi:  Using Body Awareness to Release Chronic Emotional/Physical Holding Patterns

Many men know healing touch, breathing, and stretching techniques to relieve stress, but we need to take the time to actually practice what we know, AND learn new techniques with men who will help us sustain our healing touch practice AFTER the workshop.

Learn healing/nurturing touch techniques (from traditions like Swedish massage, Breema, Thai Massage, Shiatsu, Reiki, healing touch, Sports Massage, etc).  Also learn what kinds of healing/nurturing touch you really want to give and receive, and practice negotiating healing/nurturing touch exchanges that meet your needs and the needs of several other men you’ll have the opporunity to practice with.

In this event you will explore with other men:

* TOUCH: A variety of nurturing & healing touch techniques, like Swedish, Esalen, Breema, Healing Touch, Zen Shiatsu, mindful hugging, etc.
* PRESENCE: Practices for getting in touch with your feelings & needs, & staying in touch with these as you work with others;
* COMMUNICATION: Ways to perceive the feelings & needs of another & negotiate giving and receiving fulfilling nurturing & healing touch.

DIVERSITY: We are strengthened by adult men of all ages, sizes, shapes, colors, orientations, experience levels, and backgrounds (including trans guys). Thanks for helping us increase the diversity of men who get invited to this event by forwarding this invitation to friends & colleagues who might be interested.
