Men’s Meditation Group

Meditation helps many people relieve stress, feel calmer and more focused, and be more creative and connected to your natural flow. In this group you’ll receive basic meditation instruction and simple, silent sitting and walking practice weekly, on-going support for establishing your own regular meditation practice, and the fellowship of other men from diverse backgrounds who are interested in meditation and mindfulness.
Each session includes brief meditation instruction, two 20-minute silent sits separated by a 10-minute silent walking meditation, followed by an inspirational reading & discussion.
We sometimes have an experienced meditator from one of various traditions lead us in a demonstration and practice of some simple techniques from that tradition.
Each session includes a short break mid-way through the evening and ends with a half hour of tea, cookies and conversation.
CO-FACILITATORS: Palmer Pardington, an Episcopalian priest and long-time meditator, and Bill Chin, a relatively new meditator.
