Manifest has seven Core Teams that carry out all of its activities, and each of these teams is always looking for volunteers who want to have fun creating the nuts & bolts of men’s wellness community. Please contact the team leader if you want to know more about how you might get involved, or click on the links below to learn the specific goals & activities of each team:
1) OUTREACH & DIVERSITY TEAM: survey & empower men in the following risk populations about their wellness goals, challenges, & favorite activities: 1.1 men living with chronic illness (heart disease, cancer, diabetes, HIV, & depression)men of color; 1.2 men without health insurance; 1.3 men who are veterans; 1.4 men 55 or older; 1.5 men of color; 1.6 men 18-29,.

2) PROGRAM & LEADERSHIP TEAM: evaluate & improve current men’s wellness programs & program facilitators, as well as develop new programs based on outreach team survey data and program participant survey data.

3) MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNITY TEAM: welcome new Manifest members, improve benefits & community for existing members, encourage current participants to become members, facilitate communication to/from and between members.

4) DEVELOPMENT & FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT: write grant proposals to foundations & corporations; cultivate major donors; manage Manifest’s finances & financial reporting to all teams & stakeholders.

5) WEB & SYSTEMS TEAM: integrate all event registration, membership, & participant communication data into a single online database (CIVI-CRM), and create a website user interface that makes it easy for men to find information about our programs, register for them, donate, join, join a core team, create new programs, give us feedback & suggestions about programs, and connect with men who share their wellness visions & passions.

6) SPACE MANAGEMENT: manage remodeling & improvement of current Manifest event spaces & studio, locate new spaces for men’s wellness programs in more diverse geographical locations.

7) STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS & MEDIA RELATIONS: Develop partnerships with major regional health insurers (Kaiser, Providence, Blue Cross, etc), Wellness Professional Clinics, Wellness Professionals, and manage media relations.

At its Annual Meeting, Manifest asked these seven Core Teams to take on the following four objectives for the coming year so we will be able to go from empowering hundreds of men to being able to empower thousands, and to dramatically increase the diversity of men we empower.
MANIFEST 2010 ORGANIZATIONAL OBJECTIVES
1. OUTREACH & DIVERSITY: Manifest will increase the number of donations & participants at all our programs by 50% in our next fiscal year, as well as increase the diversity of our participants in six high-risk categories by 50% in our next fiscal year.
2. LEADERSHIP & INTEGRITY: Manifest will empower 7 core team leaders & teams to manage all operations within the organization and assure that all requests the organization receives are responded to within 48 hours (teams are listed above).
3. MEMBERSHIP & COMMUNITY: Manifest will increase the number of members by 50% by the end of our 2010 fiscal year and increase membership retention by 50% (measured by average length of a membership
4. FUN: Make fun a core value and practice in all Manifest programs and meetings, and increase average fun rating by participants by 50% by end of fiscal year 2010.
